hatta Meetha” is a Hindi comedy directed by Priyadarshan and written by Sreenivasan. The movie, which is a remake of the 1989 film “Vellanakalude” with Nadu Mohanlal, Shobana, Nedumudi Venu and Sreenivasan stars Akshay Kumar, Trisha – who makes her Bollywood debut, model and actress Urvashi Sharma and “Holi” actor Paresh Rawal. Even though “Khatta Meetha” is a remake, it is also based on the murder of PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey from Bihar who was killed by the road mafia in 2009.
