At a press conference at Yashraj Studios to launch the website of her new film Pyaar Impossible (which rumours suggest are inspired by the American television series- Beauty & the Geek - but Yashraj sources clearly deny this and say Uday Chopra has written the story himself); lead actress Priyanka Chopra (who plays the beauty) was asked by a media person on what she had to say about Kareena Kapoor claiming that she and Shahid Kapoor were using her Kareena; just to get more mileage for their forthcoming film Kaminaay.

Director defiant after Antichrist jeered

Danish director Lars von Trier made no excuses on Monday for his controversial film "Antichrist", which shocked audiences at the Cannes film festival for its graphic sex and violence.
The film is one of 20 in the main competition, and during a press screening on Sunday there was derisive laughter at key moments, along with gasps of disbelief at scenes of genital mutilation and boos as the credits rolled.

Akshay Kumar arrested over obscenity

Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar was arrested Monday on suspicion of obscene behaviour during a recent fashion show in Mumbai, police said.
A complaint had been lodged against Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, after she was photographed unbuttoning a pair of jeans that the actor was modelling on the catwalk at the Lakme Fashion Week in March.

Obama, Netanyahu bare Iran, Palestinian divides

President Barack Obama held intense first talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that laid bare differing approaches on Iran and the US goal of a Palestinian state.
In blunt comments after talks that stretched past the three-hour mark, Netanyahu offered talks "immediately" with the Palestinians but stopped short of endorsing Obama's call for a two-state solution.

US lawmakers vow rapid action on health reform

President Barack Obama's monumental task of rapidly reforming US healthcare received a boost, as key Congressional allies said legislation would be on the table by the end of July.
"We promised him that we will have this important legislation on the floor of the House before the August break," said Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, after a meeting with Obama at the White House.

Bollywood producer slapped with $150,000 lawsuit in US

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has been slapped with a $150,000 lawsuit in Philadelphia for allegedly failing to pay hundreds of local actors and vendors for a movie filmed in the state last autumn.
The lawsuit cites breach of contract by Dharma Productions and its partner Swish Films of Melbourne for the production of its thriller 'Jihaad' or 'KP-15,' the Philadelphia Daily News reported citing court documents.
